Grow Solar Power Hour!

This summer, the Jackson County Energy District is working with the MREA, Jackson County Economic Alliance, The Nature Conservancy in Iowa, Community Foundation of Jackson County, Jackson County Board of Supervisors, Jackson County Conservation, and Friends of Jackson County to initiate the Grow Solar Jackson County program.

Grow Solar is a community-wide initiative to make solar energy affordable and accessible in the communities of Jackson County. Every few weeks, the organizers of Grow Solar will be hosting free webinars, or “power hours”, via Zoom to inform Jackson County property owners about their options for solar energy. At these webinars you can learn about the basics of solar, its financial benefits, and how a solar group-buy program works. After a session, you can schedule a free, no-obligation site assessment/cost estimate. Solar is a great way to reduce your energy bills, support the local economy, and help create a healthier environment!
